Good morning workers Time to turn those frowns upside down Today is another wonderful day of production And remember – we can’t thrive if you don’t survive -- We sense some grumbling in the ranks I keep you in booze and fags, but where’s the thanks? It’s not an easy job, it doesn’t run itself Without me minding the company’s health I climbed the ladder, started out like you Just that small inheritance, greased palms, it’s true I worked so hard to get where I am today Some people got burnt, so don’t get in my way -- You don’t have to worry We’re making loadsa money It’s all blue sky thinking As this ship is sinking
X2 -- It’s tough at the top They must have grafted It’s tough at the top I’m sure no one got shafted It’s tough at the top All that hard work paid off It’s tough at the top It’s not our place to scoff It’s tough at the top They must have grafted It’s tough at the top I’m sure no one got shafted It’s tough at the top Their place has been earned It’s tough at the top There’s lessons to be learned -- Riding, we’re riding The gravy train x8 -- You don’t have to worry We’re making loadsa money It’s all blue sky thinking As this ship is sinking x2

Can’t Pay Won’t Pay x8 -- You say If we can’t pay You’ll take it away We say We won’t pay You’ve had your day x3 -- No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose! -- Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay -- You say If we can’t pay You’ll take it away We say We won’t pay You’ve had your day x2 -- The energy companies know this island’s ripe to rinse An unsolvable crisis, easy to convince No matter the price of fuel it’s profits they maximise Fuck these robbing bandits, it’s time to nationalise -- No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose between eating and heating No one should have to choose! -- Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay Can’t Pay Won’t Pay -- You say If we can’t pay You’ll take it away We say We won’t pay You’ve had your day

Who’ve we got in our sights this week? Well this week we’ll mostly be taking a pop at: Asylum seekers, the mentally ill, overweight women, pretty much anyone brown, disgusting trade unionists and of course – any virtue-signalling woke brigade snowflakes who disagree with us. Tune in next week for another scapegoat to serve our interests! Now, over to Trevor with the weather… -- Here’s an account read blow by blow For propping up the status quo With angles and slants to steer your brain It’s best for business to keep you mundane Read about celebrity this and that Fantasy details to keep you down pat Coffee and a natter in your staffroom groups To feel some belonging, you’re one of the troops -- Supersonic migrants are coming to shag your pets Maybe no news is good news Benefit cheats from Hades are sleeping in your bed Maybe no news is good news Three eyed lefty ballsacks are eating all your cereal Maybe no news is good news Queers from outer space are abducting your kids now Maybe no news is good news -- Whip them up Whip into a frenzy x3 -- There’s demand for column inches, made at any cost In the search for ratings their ethos is lost A broken mirror on the world, the image in pieces Thriving off conflict, the tension increases It’s all for ads and sales, some filler to bite Both sides of the fence, ready to lurch to the right There’re some real journos with a decent newscast But in this post-truth era they’re dwindling fast -- Supersonic migrants are coming to shag your pets Maybe no news is good news Benefit cheats from Hades are sleeping in your bed Maybe no news is good news Three eyed lefty ballsacks are eating all your cereal Maybe no news is good news Queers from outer space are abducting your kids now Maybe no news is good news -- Whip them up Whip into a frenzy x4 -- Supersonic migrants are coming to shag your pets Maybe no news is good news Benefit cheats from Hades are sleeping in your bed Maybe no news is good news Queers from outer space are abducting your kids now Maybe no news is good news Three eyed lefty ballsacks are eating all your cereal Maybe no news is good news -- Maybe no news is good news Whip them up, whip them up, whip them up Maybe no news is good news Whip them up, whip them up, whip them into a frenzy

Who knows what awaits us on the horizon It’s the setting sun you’ve got to keep your eyes on Don’t get caught up in static behaviour Change is our constant, mutation our saviour The night is long, but we are still young Spin something new try some methods unsung Don’t get stuck on the same page in your fables Forward and mutate it’s time to turn the tables -- Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate To survive x7 Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate! -- Gonna start necking some pills And suck on Big Pharma’s teat Gonna grow bionic limbs for combat And ensure I won’t be beat Gonna upgrade my eyes, ears Nose and my teeth Gonna have to be some mental Mutant hybrid is my belief Gonna be a mesmerising murderising man-machine Gonna be a one-man army And destroy your whole team An unstoppable undeniable force Make no mistake How many operations, drugs And mutations will it take?! -- Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate To survive x7 Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate Got to mutate! -- Who knows what awaits us on the horizon It’s the setting sun you’ve got to keep your eyes on Don’t get caught up in static behaviour Change is our constant, mutation our saviour

Close the door It’s a war on the poor x12 -- Edging ever closer to a fascist state Removing the right to protest Dividing us with hate The press calls it sleaze But it’s pure corruption Not fit for purpose We need an eruption Don’t forget your papers For our new internal borders The ones who stand to profit Denying our disorders The crooked at the wheel Driving us round the bend We’re stuck on plague island A call to arms we send -- Are we too divided to make a stand? The glue doesn’t bind the flames they are fanned We’re out here drawing lines in the sand Can we please escape from plague island? Are we too divided to make a stand? The glue doesn’t bind the flames they are fanned We’re out here drawing lines in the sand I wanna get off plague island -- Top of the leader board We got a high score Don’t watch that, watch this A war on the poor Contracts to your besties Or matey next door Bragging about statistics As the bodies hit the floor They robbed the public purse With no calls for their demise Pulling off heists And cutting old ties Rock the boat hard to make it capsize “And Bully’s special prize…!” -- Go outside Stay indoors Go out Eat out Stay outdoors Don’t go inside Eat someone out Be a grass Stay off the grass Space face Track and trace You would be ill advised To become ill with this advice Reread the instructions To stay informed Reread the instructions To stay informed Reread the instructions To stay informed Reread the instructions To stay informed -- Are we too divided to make a stand? The glue doesn’t bind the flames they are fanned We’re out here drawing lines in the sand Can we please escape from plague island? Are we too divided to make a stand? I was walking down the street Minding my own business When out of the corner of my eye I spotted a man on the floor Who appeared to be suffering a cardiac arrest So of course, I hurried over… You know - I’m a nice person I like to help when it’s needed I remembered my emergency life support training That I received through my job I quickly called 999 And then got down on to my knees And began performing chest compressions 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, 120 bpm is actually the required rate I remember this because it’s the same as some disco tune “c’mon maaan please don’t die on me” I cried out to the empty street The voice on the telephone advised me to stay calm But just as I was about to perform mouth to mouth resuscitation I noticed his rosette And then Some flyers he was holding in his hand Listeners - this was no decent man This pathetic excuse for a human being was out canvasing for the Conservative and Unionist Party of Great Britain I stopped, took a breath Did a double-take and questioned my own morals Surely every human deserves to be treated equally? I pondered, looking at his face becoming redder and redder Surely, I wouldn’t just let a fellow man die without trying to save his life… Would I? DO NOT RESUSCITATE DO NOT RESUSCITATE DO NOT RESUSCITATE DO NOT RESUSCITATE I preached, as other passers-by began to gather This man has an order in place that says DO NOT RESUSCITATE I said Before I pronounced him dead at 20:23 The ambulance arrived and carried away his body From the gawping crowd which had formed around me I slid away quietly, proud that I had set myself some boundaries None of my precious energy should be wasted helping a man Who would not have helped me A man who believed that we are all responsible for our own destinies A man invested in destroying our communities R. I. P. Tory scum, at least there will be free heating in hell! Do not resuscitate Do not resuscitate Do not resuscitate Do not resuscitate x2

It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones Dragging our feet around the information zones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones Staring into the abyss through the screens on our phones x2 -- They say it’s the information age But big data also profits from our rage Goading you into unrequited clicks An empty shell for an endorphin fix Perfectly curated minor distractions With little to no real satisfaction It’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not Collective madness, we’ve lost the plot We can reach anyone across the world Connection and learning, the world unfurled But instead of extending a hand or greeting It’s mostly bruising, a virtual beating You have to sift through misinformation and bile Bullshit to navigate, truth is on trial Maybe it’s all too much for us to handle Towards a new dark age, so light a candle -- T M I X7 -- These monkey brains aren’t up to task Information overload, easy to wear a mask People get mouthy behind a username No real comeback, for them it’s just a game Spending their evenings logging in to spread fear and hate Things they’d never do by their own front gate It seemed like the best thing since sliced bread But the future looks fucked and filled with dread -- T M I x8 Too much information x4 -- It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones Dragging our feet around the information zones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones Staring into the abyss through the screens on our phones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones It’s just a numb pile of meat in these bones

Jobsworth 03:58
Is it pride that makes you so blunt? Are they paying you enough to be such a …..? Life should be worth more than a job Becoming a thug to raise a few bob “Them’s the rules” you howl and bellow Making it clear you ain’t a nice fellow How do you sleep at night? Actually, cunts like you probably sleep alright -- You’re that kind of person who needs a wide berth Coz you only understand rules – a jobsworth That face says it all, completely lacking in mirth People come first, ya fucking jobsworth Perhaps you should have been stifled at birth Coz you only understand rules – a jobsworth Is this what you do with your time on earth? People come first, ya fucking jobsworth -- If you see someone stealing baby formula Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you see someone jumping the barrier Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you know someone working cash in hand Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you know someone selling a bit of dope Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth -- You’re that kind of person who needs a wide berth Coz you only understand rules – a jobsworth That face says it all, completely lacking in mirth People come first, ya fucking jobsworth Perhaps you should have been stifled at birth Coz you only understand rules – a jobsworth Is this what you do with your time on earth? People come first, ya fucking jobsworth -- If you see someone begging on the train Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you see someone’s tent in the woods Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you see someone stopping an eviction Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth If you see people stopping a raid Don’t be a jobsworth Don’t be a jobsworth -- Why are you such a jobsworth? x16 -- Why are you like this, it’s just not clear Being a jobsworth ain’t a valid career How about a change of direction this year? Being a jobsworth ain’t a valid career x2

Know Your Enemy Know Your Enemy x4 -- Your enemy does not arrive in the back of a truck they arrive by private jet Your enemy does not come here clutching a dinghy they arrive in the back of a limousine Your enemy is not sneaking across the borders They’re the ones who create and police them Your enemy doesn’t come to steal this land It’s those who have long held the deeds -- Know Your Enemy x4 -- Your enemy isn’t stealing your wallet They’re the ones that lured you into debt Your enemy isn’t living on state benefits They syphon state subsidies instead Your enemy doesn’t come here to steal your job They want cheap labour to undercut you Your enemy is not draining the system They work the system and exploit us all -- These people have names and addresses Take back the land and burn down their mansions! x4 -- Know Your Enemy x4 -- Know, know, know, know – your – enemy, enemy, enemy, enemy x4 -- Your enemy is not someone sleeping in a doorway no matter what their fucking reasons are Your enemy isn’t your next-door neighbour simply because you don’t understand what spice mix they use Your enemy isn’t the worker pissed off with their bosses when you should be too Your enemy isn’t anyone who refuses to play this stupid game – because the rules were never in your favour

about

This is the fourth album from Killdren – brought you to direct from the radical hotbed of Tunbridge Wells in south-east England; a mere molotov's throw away from Westminster, the dark heart of the ailing British empire (and notably one of the most corrupt places on planet Earth).

All songs were written between 2021-2023, with Escape from Plague Island and Can't Pay Won't Pay previously being released in a different form as campaign singles.

We decided to have less remixes this time – so here's just a choice few from our fave producer friends. Check out the music video for Tough at the Top over on our YouTube channel: bit.ly/killdrenyoutube

about

Killdren Royal Tunbridge Wells, UK

Killdren are a two-bit rave-punk band with a smelly attitude who hail from Tunbridge Wells.

Sitting uneasily between straight-up nihilism and fresh-faced naivety,
Killdren pen politically charged slapstick anthems.
They form the ideal soundtrack to the worst generation in history.
